About Foodture
Introduction:
Foodture is a movement created by high school students to help our future generations get more connected to fresh, healthy food.

Explanation
To Reduce
The price of healthy food is significantly higher than any other kind of food. Our goal is to create a solution in which families with low-income and the ones affected by food deserts can attain fresh and healthy foods at reasonable prices.
To Educate
Everything begins from something. If we want to live in a society where our neighborhoods are receiving fresh and healthy foods, it needs to begin from our school. It is not only about educating them about the importance of fresh and healthy foods. Everyone knows that. However, it is about creating an environment where they can learn and experience producing fresh and healthy foods for their neighborhoods.
To Prevent
With the reduction of unhealthy foods and a proper education in our society, it can only a matter of time of when we can finally see a decline in diseases caused by our food choices.
To Facilitate
Throughout this unique and sensational project, we generated many ideas and solutions regarding food deserts in Houston’s neighborhoods. However, an idea is the beginning of an achievement; our goal is to create even more solutions for food deserts worldwide in the future.
